Found Paper & Repurposed Spam Journals

These handmade journals began as gifts for close artist and writer friends. The various papers, labels, and forms used as pages in the journals originally came from reams of leftover paper from design class. The typed messages on the pages are transcribed text from SPAM messages — typed out on one of Pretty Clever’s 1930s manual typewriters. You know the text, that non-sensical paragraph of text that follows an image of blue pills clogging your inbox. Random computer generated text, sent electronically to us, retyped on one of our manual typewriters, and hand-bound to provide an unlikely source of inspiration to you.

Each journal is 6″x9″ containing 50–60 pages, and is finely crafted and hand-bound with the greatest care.
